In the financial performance and corporate management policy briefing released by Nintendo, Shunaro said that Nintendo Switch is in the middle stage of the hardware life cycle and believes that the company has laid the foundation for Nintendo Switch to seek further growth opportunities.

Early this month, Digitimes reported citing supply chain sources as saying that Nintendo will launch a new Switch in mid-2020.
The report said that in addition to the processor performance will be further improved, the new Switch's shell will be "substantially changed" from the original plastic material to magnesium aluminum alloy die-casting, enhancing the metallic feel.
A couple of days later, Digitimes said in a new report that the new Nintendo Switch will begin mass production at the end of the first quarter of 2020 and will be released in the middle of the year.
