The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are set to get the Android 10 update in February, according to Samsung's updated roadmap in many countries.
The roadmap can be found in the Notices section of the Samsung Members app which said that in some markets including the Netherlands the update will be released in January.
However, this most likely won’t happen, as only a few days are left before we enter February and even beta users haven’t received the stable Android 10 update yet.
The One UI 2.0 beta program for the Galaxy S9 and S9+ has been ongoing for two months, and even Samsung’s team hasn’t revealed why it is taking so long to finish work on the update.
Samsung has been quiet about its progress on the Android 10 update for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ and it never really communicates to consumers why a certain update might be taking too long to come out.
Considering the Galaxy S9 and S9+ have mostly the same hardware and software as the Galaxy Note 9, which has already received Android 10 in many countries, we can only imagine there must be some serious issues that are delaying the update’s release for the Galaxy S9 and S9+.
