Taishan Office V3.0, a domestic basic office software, has completed compatible adaptation with the Unity Operating System (UOS) and runs stably on CPU platforms including Loongson, Feiteng, Kunpeng and Zhaoxin, the system’s developer Union Tech said on Thursday.
Taishan Office supports three applications: text editing, form making, and presentation. Each application has a unified standard user interface.
All Taishan Office applications use the same set of menu commands and subcommands; all applications use the same set of dialog boxes to reduce memory consumption.
It can save various data objects in different applications in one file format, and also save documents generated by different applications in the same "tio" file.
It supports the Ribbon interface, users can also click the button to switch to the classic menu toolbar interface.
The UOS is a Linux kernel-based operating system developed by Union Tech. It has desktop and server versions. It supports notebooks and desktops of Loongson, Feiteng, Zhaoxin, Haiguang, Kunpeng and other chip platforms.
On January 14, Union Tech released the V20 stable versions of UOS for desktops and servers, which is also the first official version of the UOS V20 series. In December 2019, Union Tech released first version to the public.
This time it was first launched for partners and developers. The main purpose is to make sure users without technical background can use the operating system more safely and stably in the near future.
