Shanghai Zhaoxin Semiconductor has carried out technical cooperation with Union Tech and completed the adaptation of Kaixian KX-6000 and Kaisheng KH-30000 series processors developed by the former to the UOS desktop and server versions, according to Union Tech.
Union Tech is the company behind China-made operating system Unity Operating System (UOS). Earlier this month, UOS and Loongson have completed compatibility and adaptation to fully fit Loongson desktop computers and servers.
Union Tech stated that UOS has the features of intelligent collaboration, beautiful and easy to use. The system has a unified application store built-in, which supports downloading a wealth of mainstream application software, including document processing, web browsing, video decoding, instant messaging and other applications.
Kaixian KX-6000 and Kaisheng KH-30000 series processors are the latest generation of general-purpose processor products independently researched and developed by Zhaoxin. They use 16nm technology and the main frequency is up to 3.0GHz. The product performance is significantly improved compared with the previous generation.
During the adaptation process, the Megachip integrated graphics team developed a KX-6000 series processor driver for UOS, and integrated the driver into UOS, so that the KX-6000 platform can exhibit more powerful audio and video performance.
Kaisheng KH-30000 platform with UOS server version can meet the application requirements of file server, database server, etc., and its stability and security reach mature product standards.
According to earlier news, the UOS Loongson version is currently applicable to Loongson 3A3000 series, Loongson 3B3000 series, 3A4000 series, and Loongson 3B4000 series.
Loongson Computer is based on the 64-bit Godson 3 CPU, which can meet the performance requirements of daily office, word processing, Internet access, audio and video playback, and 3D applications. A large number of complete machine manufacturers have already produced Godson computers and introduced them to the market.
According to the introduction, the preparatory group was voluntarily initiated by a number of domestic operating system core companies. Its members include China Electronics Group (CEC), Wuhan Shenzhidu Technology Co., Ltd., Nanjing Chengmai Technology, and ZTE New Fulcrum. The parties signed the Cooperation Agreement in May 2019 and established a preparatory group.
