ZTE cancels press conference at MWC 2020 due to coronavirus outbreak

Chinese telecom equipment giants Huawei and ZTE both asked the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) not to finalize its designation of them as risks to U.S. national security on Monday, according to a report from Reuters.

ZTE said on January 16 that it would raise 11.5 billion yuan through non-public offering in the Chinese A-share market for technology research for the 5G network evolution.

ZTE Axon 10s Pro will be the world's thinnest 5G flagship phone in 2020, and it is expected to be available soon, a ZTE executive said on Weibo on Friday.

ZTE Axon 10s Pro 5G smartphone has been certified in China and appeared in the database of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The model number is “ZTE A2020 SP” with a body size of 159.2 × 73.4 × 7.9mm and a weight of 175g.

ZTE Axon 10 Pro has now received the Android 10-based MiFavor 10 system update.

From 2016 to 2018, ZTE lost nearly 10 billion yuan due to US sanctions. Now the company has recovered its vitality. Although not as strong as Huawei, ZTE is still China's second largest communications equipment company.

ZTE announced on Monday the Axon 10s Pro 5G, which is the first Snapdragon 865 flagship phone that supports SA and NSA dual-mode 5G.

ZTE announced the images of its dual-mode 5G flagship Axon 10s Pro on Weibo on December 15.

ZTE hopes to be a 5G pioneer and will launch 10 5G smartphones next year, Xu Feng, senior vice president of ZTE and president of ZTE's terminal division, told The Paper in Shanghai on December 13.
