As Tesla's Shanghai factory enters the advanced stages of construction for its Phase 2 project, the building where the Model Y will be produced has also seen some important internal upgrades.

"The anti-epidemic experience from China is being exported to the U.S. as a model for the U.S. plant that just resumed operations." Tesla China's vice president of external affairs Grace Tao recently said in an interview with Xinhua News Agency.

Tesla plans to start expanding the layout of V3 supercharging piles in China in the second half of this year, and by the end of the year will add 4,000 supercharging piles (including V3 and V2 supercharging piles) in China.

In response to today's report that the Tesla Shanghai factory may be shut down due to a lack of overseas parts, Tesla China offered a clarification.

Tesla said there are currently no price adjustments planned for the China-made Model 3 Long Range Edition based on production cost considerations and other factors.

In response to whether the hardware of the China-made Model 3 standard range will be reduced after price cut, Tesla China said in that the specifications will remain unchanged.
