High-speed Rail
China's maglev train with speed of up to 600 km/h rolls off line
The maximum operating speed of China's high-speed railway is 350 km/h and the cruising speed of aircraft is 800~900 km/h. High-speed magnetic levitation at 600 km/h can fill the speed gap between high-speed railway and air transportation.
China starts commissioning maglev trains with speeds up to 600 km/h
Prior to this, the CR400 series of Chinese Standard EMU โFuxingโ has a maximum speed of 400km/h, with a sustained operating speed of 350km/h, making them the fastest commercially operated trainsets in the world.
Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway will be first in China to increase speed to 350 km/h
The Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway line is being upgraded, and will be opened for debugging after the National Day. After the debugging is completed, the whole operation of high-speed rail from Chengdu to Chongqing will be shortened to less than one hour, Xinhua News Agency quoted China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) as saying on October 5.
China's 600 km/h high-speed maglev completes test run
China's 600 km/h high-speed magnetic levitation test vehicle successfully made a test run in Shanghai today, marking an important new breakthrough of China's high-speed magnetic levitation research and development.
