Tencent has officially launched the overseas beta testing for QClaw, signaling the Chinese tech giant's accelerated push of its desktop AI (artificial intelligence) products into the global market.

Built on the OpenClaw framework, the minimalist agent tool retains the core advantages of its domestic version, featuring zero barriers to entry, deployment-free setup, and ready-to-use functionality upon download.

The overseas edition of QClaw now supports major international messaging platforms including WhatsApp and Telegram, according to a Tuesday announcement by Tencent Cloud.

Overseas users simply need to send a brief command via their mobile phones, and the AI assistant will automatically execute complex tasks on their computers and swiftly return the results.

The overseas product boasts highly efficient research and development. Based on more than 80 functional iterations from the domestic version, it took only five days to develop, with about 99% of the code written by the AI itself, the announcement said.

The product is built upon the OpenClaw open-source framework. Peter Steinberger, creator of OpenClaw, acknowledged the collaboration, calling it an excellent choice for its exceptional ease of use.

The overseas version insists on a local execution model, ensuring that all data is securely processed directly on the user's device.

During the beta period, Tencent is giving away 40 million tokens daily to users — valued at up to $700 — and has opened an initial batch of 20,000 "Founding Claw" quotas.

Currently, the QClaw overseas version has rolled out in countries including the US, Canada, Singapore, and South Korea, with multi-language support for more countries and regions to be gradually introduced in the future, the statement noted.

Centered around the real-life needs of overseas users, QClaw offers automated features such as processing tax returns, customizing daily fitness plans, and taking over social media strategy operations.

Furthermore, its built-in expert plaza comes pre-loaded with various roles, including financial advisors and language teachers. Users can load a fully skill-configured mentor with just a single click, the announcement said.

The launch of Tencent's QClaw overseas beta reflects the fierce global competition Chinese tech giants are currently undergoing in the desktop AI application sector.

Tencent's QClaw officially begins full public testing, allowing users to install and use the AI assistant without an invitation code.
