Alibaba Group's AI assistant Qwen has upgraded its "deep research" feature, setting its sights on professional financial analysis and investment decision-making.

The newly upgraded capability is now available on Qwen's web and mobile platforms and is free for all users, according to a company statement on Tuesday.

By partnering with data providers such as Tonghuashun, the company has integrated minute-level real-time market data for more than 13,000 stocks, alongside about one million corporate financial reports, public filings, and institutional research notes.

Users simply need to input a target stock's name, and the system can generate a comprehensive research report complete with visual charts with a single click, which can also be exported as a document.

The core technological backbone of this upgrade is the application of Qwen's Agentic architecture, which equips the system with autonomous planning and execution capabilities.

When presented with a user's research request, the system can automatically interpret the intent, map out an analytical path, and retrieve real-time data from multiple sources to synthesize a transparent conclusion, the company said.

This represents the latest in a series of intensive AI roll-outs by Alibaba. Just last week, the tech giant released Qwen3.6-Plus, a model tailored for code generation, as well as its omni-modal AI model, Qwen3.5-Omni.

The company is seeking to capture a larger market share through its rapidly expanding artificial intelligence portfolio.

Alibaba's Tongyi lab has released version 1.0 of CoPaw, a system focusing on localized AI deployment to significantly reduce users' token consumption costs.
