Honor is aiming to return to its peak market share of 16 percent in China by the end of the year, Tencent News said Tuesday, citing the Chinese smartphone maker's internal plans.
Honor is now recovering its domestic market share at a rapid pace, from about 3 percent in its "darkest hour" to about 8.5 percent.
Since Honor was spun off from Huawei last year, four products have been released, including the Honor V40 and Honor Play5.
The Honor 50 series will be officially launched on Wednesday evening Beijing time, and it will be powered by a Qualcomm 778G 5G chip, Honor recently announced.
The standard version of the Honor 50 series will be powered by the Qualcomm 780G, while the Honor 50 Pro is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm 888, Tencent News said, citing sources familiar with the matter.
The Honor 50 series is fully stocked, with initial stocking reaching one million units, the report said.
The Honor 50 and Honor 50 Pro are fully upgraded in terms of image, appearance, performance, and interaction, and are positioned as vlog video shooting phones.
The Honor 50 is expected to support 66W fast charging and the Honor 50 Pro will support 100W fast charging. In the rear lens, the Honor 50 series supports a billion HD quad-camera module.
After the Honor 50 series, the Honor Magic 3 is also on the agenda. Barring any surprises, Honor will probably launch Honor Magic 3 with Qualcomm 888 in August, according to Tencent News.
