Steam Platform, the China version of Steam, opened for testing on February 9.
The platform offers 51 game titles, including Dota 2, Dyson Sphere Program, CS: GO, Shio and ICEY, as well as the software Wallpaper Engine.
The team says it will provide players with an excellent experience using the digital distribution platform, including a convenient payment experience and responsive customer service.
Users logging into their Steam accounts on Steam Platform will be asked to authenticate with their real names, although the accounts can still continue to be used on Steam as usual.
Users will be able to play games on Steam Platform that are in the library and available on Steam Platform.
Gabe Newell, the founder of Steam, previously said in an interview that he would try to keep the Steam experience as unchanged as possible.
Steam Platform is the Chinese version of Steam's digital content distribution platform and is distributed by Perfect World.
In June 2018, Perfect World and Valve announced a partnership for the "Steam China" project, and in August 2019, Perfect World announced the launch of the "Steam Platform", a client for Chinese users.
