Baidu today announced the flagship edition of its Baidu Cloud Phone for personal users, featuring an ARM quad-core processor, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
The phone is available in a variety of packages, including a monthly billing version priced at RMB 77 yuan.
The Baidu Cloud Phone, which was officially launched in April this year, relies on the public cloud and ARM virtualization technology to ultimately provide users with an instance of Android (the operating system) in the cloud.
Users can control the cloud phone remotely and in real time through video streaming, which ultimately enables Android native apps and hand games to run in the cloud.
In addition to games, Baidu Cloud Phone can achieve cloud hosting of massive applications, content monitoring for live apps and short video apps, enterprise remote office and simulation testing.
In the enterprise-level version launched in April this year, "Baidu Cloud Phone" has already achieved comprehensive coverage of four major scenarios: cloud games, cloud applications, cloud VR and cloud office.
At present, the number of users of Baidu Cloud Phone has exceeded 30 million.
