Chinese smartphone maker OPPO has announced that it will be holding a new product launch event in Shanghai on October 19, where there will be not just new TVs but other mystery products as well.
Late last month OPPO shared a video that showed its first smart TV. The TV features extremely narrow edges and a camera module, which is presumed to have a pop-up design.
Previous reports have claimed that the OPPO Smart TV comes in two sizes, 55 and 65 inches, and features a 120Hz Quantum Dot full screen.
Previously, two of OPPO's new TVs passed the national 3C certification in late August, including the 55-inch and 65-inch products.
Liu Bo, OPPO's vice president and president of China, said in a letter to Chinese partners released on the 7th that OPPO's first smart TV products will soon be available to consumers, while the next-generation Find series models are expected to be launched in the first quarter of next year.
