NIO and JAC have also officially started the expansion of their advanced manufacturing base. With the opening of NIO's China headquarters, NIO says it will increase the size of its Hefei team and continue to deepen its cooperation with the local supply chain.
William Li Bin, founder, chairman and CEO of NIO, said, "NIO China will strive to be conducive to Hefei's competition in the global new energy vehicle industry and the development of a world-class new energy vehicle industry cluster."
It is worth mentioning that NIO will work with the Hefei Charge, a subsidiary of Hefei City Construction and Investment Holding Group, to promote the construction of power exchange facilities, focusing on new power exchange facilities in 2020 and 2021, and has initially selected the first batch of 20 proposed locations for power exchange stations.
Through the layout of charging and battery swap mode, NIO further strengthened Hefei's leading position in the field of smart electric vehicle charging and battery swap network.
