Qualcomm will be partnering with Asus to launch its own brand's first smartphone, reported DigiTimes.
Qualcomm has announced that it will hold a technology summit on December 1, when the Snapdragon 875 processor will be officially unveiled, but it appears that the mobile chip giant is planning to move into the realm of smartphone products.
DigiTimes reported that Qualcomm plans to launch the gaming phone, which will be powered by a Snapdragon 875 processor (not yet released), by the end of 2020.

Qualcomm's choice and smartphone partner is Asus, which has already launched products including the ROG Phone 3 and has strong experience in areas including phone cooling.
If this is true, Qualcomm will likely choose to debut the Snapdragon 875 processor on its own products.
In addition, Twitter user @RolandQuandt claims that there is a Plus variant of the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 875G chip. There also exists a Snapdragon 775G/SM7350 chip, codenamed "Cedros."
