Chinese drone maker DJI today held the "DJI Emergency Rescue Alliance Inauguration Ceremony" in Beijing, and officially released the "DJI Emergency Rescue Alliance Operational Specifications".
DJI Senior Strategy Director Zhang Xiaonan said that in the future, DJI drones will actively participate in emergency rescue work for major emergencies such as natural disasters, urban firefighting, and search and rescue of personnel.
DJI's exploration in the field of emergency rescue can be traced back to the 2015 Nepal earthquake, and in the following years, with the accumulation and advancement of technology, drones have played an increasing role in various application scenarios.
In 2017 DJI established an industry application department to officially apply drone technology to public safety, emergency firefighting, and other industries.

In 2019, DJI Industry Applications established an emergency response mechanism, aiming to provide rapid response to emergencies.
In 2020, based on the idea of bringing together the strength of its partners across the country to support and secure emergency response, the company today established the DJI Emergency Response Alliance.
The first batch of members of the alliance already has 32 units, covering 26 provinces, with nearly 200 professionally trained and licensed operators.
The alliance adopts a model of cooperation with local enterprises, in which DJI provides equipment and technical guidance to the participating enterprises and jointly negotiates rescue plans.
Its partners are connected to local rescue missions, so that drone rescue equipment can arrive at the rescue site immediately.
