The Huawei Mate40 series will be released for overseas markets in mid-October and in China at the end of October, according to Weibo digital blogger @鹏鹏君驾到.
The Mate40 series will have four models, the Mate40, Mate40 Pro, Mate40 Pro + and Mate40 RS Porsche Design, he claimed.
Earlier, Huawei Consumer Business CEO Richard Yu, when asked when the next generation of Mate series smartphones will be released, said, "Please wait a little longer, everything will be on schedule".

According to previous reports, the Huawei Mate40 will likely feature the 7nm Kirin 9000E chip, but the other two models will still feature the 5nm Kirin 9000 5G chip.
The Huawei Mate40 series will see a further increase in screen curvature and the return of physical volume buttons on the side bezels for easier user operation, while also retaining the virtual buttons.
The Huawei Mate40 Pro+ is expected to be backed by a newly upgraded super-sensitive Leica quad-camera with a 50-megapixel primary lens, along with new upgrades to the zoom and cinema lenses.It's also expected to include a submersible telephoto lens with support for 5x optical zoom and 55x digital zoom.
