Huawei has announced that it will be holding a keynote speech at IFA 2020 in Berlin, Germany on September 3, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. The keynote will be titled "Huawei's Vision for a Seamless AI Life."
Huawei is expected to unveil its 5nm Kirin 9000 5G chipset at the event, which will also be the chipset that will power Huawei's Mate40 flagship series. In addition, Huawei is also expected to announce the release date of the Mate40 series.
Judging from the posters announced by Huawei, the company is also expected to showcase smartphones, tablets, computers, smart wearables, and IoT devices at its booth.
Previously, it was reported that TSMC is focusing all its efforts on producing 5nm-based Kirin 9000 chips to ensure that the Mate40 series is used as much as possible.
Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei's consumer business, said in a previous public speech that Huawei will launch the Mate40 series with its Kirin chip in September.
The Huawei Mate 40 will be powered by the Kirin 9000 chip, which will be the last generation of Kirin high-end chip that can't be produced in the future.
Yu said that the Kirin 9000 chip will use more powerful 5G capabilities, AI processing power, more powerful NPU, and GPU.
