The Indian government has banned the use of the Xiaomi Browser Pro on smartphones made by the company, saying that the use of the browser could affect the operation of these devices as well as access to the web.
India began taking action in June this year to ban 59 Chinese apps, including TikTok, UC Browser, and WeChat.
According to previous Indian media sources, the Indian government recently listed another 47 apps and made it mandatory for them to be removed from its shelves.
Indian officials have not released a detailed list of these apps, but Xiaomi's browser Pro is included in the list.
In response, Xiaomi's response said that it is aware of the developments and will take appropriate measures.
