It should be noted that last month, the company had launched the Redmi 9 in the Spanish market and Redmi Prime could be its Indian version.
Ahead of the arrival of Redmi Prime, Xiaomi has already launched the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, Note 9 Pro, Note 9 variants to the Indian market.
The new device is also expected to focus on the entry-level market and will be priced at or below Rs 10,000 ($133).
