China's TCL subsidiary starts shipping display screens to Samsung-cnTechPost

TCL-owned Shenzhen China Star Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd (CSOT), a panel supplier, said on July 20 that its commercial display 27-inch R1000 product made a major breakthrough in June this year and has started shipping to Samsung.

The R1000's super curvature is the main technical highlight of the product, while the R1500 curvature is now the mainstream curved product.

Currently, R1500 curvature is the dominant curved product, and R1000 curvature is a higher technology strategic point.

CSOT has overcome this technology and the R1000 curved product took 2 months from validation to mass production, which is the industry's fastest time to mass-produce an R1000 product.

Compared to flat screens, curved screens are more attractive to gamers in three ways: wide viewing angles, immersive experience, and reduced eye fatigue.

A curved display is a display device with a curved panel, which enhances the user's visual experience with a sense of width.

CSOT says its R1000 (the smaller the number, the higher the curvature) super curved 27-inch QHD display is more in line with the curvature of the human eye than the common R1500 curved gaming display on the market.
