(Ubuntu Kylin 20.04 LTS)
Today the Ubuntu Kylin team announced that Ubuntu Kylin 19.10 will end its life cycle this month.
Ubuntu Kylin 19.10 was released on October 17, 2019. After the team terminates technical support, users will not be able to continue to receive official updates.
The team recommends that users of Ubuntu Kylin 19.10 upgrade to Ubuntu Kylin 20.04 LTS, which is backed by official technical support for up to 5 years until 2025.
The Ubuntu Kylin 20.04 LTS version comes with the Linux 5.4 kernel by default and the new UKUI 3.0 desktop environment preview version. It supports both x86 and ARM64 architectures.
How to upgrade :
1. Open "Software & Updates”
2. On the "Updates" page, click "Notify me of new releases". Select "Apply any long term support version" from the list
3. Open "Software Updater" 4. Click "Upgrade ..." , follow the prompts to restart the system after the upgrade is complete.
5. update to UKUI 3.0 Enhanced Version.
a) Download the key pack: ukui source, third party software source.
b) Enter the download directory and double click to install the above key pack c) Open the "Software Updater" and click "Install Now."
6. Reboot the system and complete the upgrade.
