Tesla opens Cybertruck reservations in China-CnTechPost

Tesla has opened up reservations for the Cybertruck, an electric pickup, in China for a deposit of 1,000 yuan ($141), slightly more than the $100 reservation fee in the United States.

Subscribers can now lock in the Full Autopilot feature pack for 64,000 RMB ($9,000), which costs $8,000 in the US.

Tesla launched the Cybertruck last year with a starting price of $39,900 (about RMB 280,000).

The company's CEO, Elon Musk, has said that Tesla received more than 250,000 reservations within a week of releasing the model.

Previously Wedbush reported that Tesla's Cybertruck electric pickup truck now has more than 650,000 units on order.
