Apple plans to launch a new 10.8-inch iPad in the second half of 2020, followed by a new 8.5-inch iPad in the first half of 2021, tianfeng international analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reiterated in a report yesterday.
Kuo did not specify whether the 10.8-inch iPad model would be a new version of the existing 10.2-inch iPad or a new version of the 10.5 inch iPad Air, but he had previously said that the 8.5-inch model would be the new iPad mini.
Apple last updated the iPad mini in March 2019, when it introduced the A12 Bionic chip , an upgraded front-facing camera, and support for the original Apple Pencil.
Kuo expects Apple to include a new 20W power adapter in the box of each of the two iPads, which this week It can be seen in earlier leaked photos.
As for the iPhone, Kuo expects the 20W power adapter to be available as an optional accessory, which means that the iPhone 12 models won't include a charger in the box, and EarPods aren't expected to be in the box either.
