Under-screen cameras will eventually go into mass production, which could put an end to the notch and punch-hole camera designs.
Now, LetsGoDigital is reporting that smartphone company TCL has been granted a new patent that suggests they may be one of the first companies to release a smartphone with an under-screen camera.
The patent, which shows a device that has multiple cameras on the back but no notches or perforations on the front, was filed with CNIPA (China's State Intellectual Property Office) last December by Huizhou-based TCL Mobile Communications.
The back of the device shows what appears to be 2 central LED flashes surrounded by 4 cameras.
The handset looks similar to the TCL 10-series phones, which offer value for money, meaning that if you've been waiting for the bangs gap to be eliminated, TCL may soon offer a full-screen solution with an under-screen camera.
