Apple's next-generation Apple Pencil is expected to be released in black for the first time, Twitter user Mr. White said.
It's unclear when Apple will release the next-generation Apple Pencil, and sources say Apple is working on a new iPad Pro with a mini-LED screen, which is expected to be released along with the next iPad Pro.
But according to the latest news, the 12.9-inch mini-LED iPad Pro has postponed its scheduled release for this fall, instead releasing in 2021.
Add to that the fact that Apple has updated the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro in March 2020, and the new Apple Pencil is unlikely to be released in 2020.
The existing Apple Pencil/2 is only available in white, while the iPad itself is available in a variety of colorways. So Apple is likely to release a black Apple Pencil to match the iPad Pro's colorway.
