A large number of Samsung phone users in China have claimed on social media that when they set a certain image (the above one) as wallpaper, it causes the phone system to crash and the screen to flicker infinitely.
The original image was taken with a Nikon D850 camera at a resolution of 6144X3950 and a size of 4.67MB. It was shared by a user on the web.
Previously Samsung phones have experienced a number of Samsung phones black screen and large area reboot problems, customer service said it is due to the lunar leap April calculation logic error, after the upgrade cannot guarantee the data is not lost.
For the problems caused by the wallpapers, some users say the same will be true for Google Pixel phones.
Solution:
1. Do not try to use the original image of this photo as a wallpaper for your phone at first, if it is compressed it may be fine.
2. If there has been a crash, try dropping the notification bar in the lock screen interface after the phone reboots. Then quickly tap Settings to quickly change the wallpaper back before rebooting.
Or try to enter the safe mode (when the phone is off, press the power button to turn it on. (When the Samsung Logo screen appears on the boot page, keep pressing and holding the volume down button until the words "Safe Mode" appear in the bottom left corner. Go fast when you enter, take a picture, and set it to wallpaper, which may take several times to succeed.
