Chinese electronics manufacturer Konka's PCIe SSD K550 series is now available on JD.com for pre-order and the 500GB version is priced at 579 yuan (USD 81).
The K550 is another solid-state drive product that follows the Konka K500 and K520 series and features a PCIe Gen3 M.2 2280 interface.
It uses Samsung's original 64-layer 3D TLC chip, Silicon Motion SM2263XT main control chip, continuous reading speed up to 2000MB/s. It supports HMB cache technology, TBW up to 300TB, custom aluminum alloy heatsink, after-sales warranty of 5 years.

On Jan. 22, Konka Semiconductor announced the first mass production of a storage master chip. And according to the head of Konka, Konka has its own storage master chip.
The KS6581A is the first embedded memory controller chip (eMMC5.1) planned by Konka Semiconductor Technology, which is mainly used in smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, set-top boxes, automotive electronics and other products.
The Konka K550 series SSD is currently available for pre-order at JD.com for only 500GB at 579.
