Tencent second among the most profitable gaming companies

Many gaming companies have already announced their respective earnings figures for 2019 externally, and today, a fellow netizen on the ResetEra forum rounded up the data of several game majors that have already announced their earnings so far.

The data shows the revenue situation of gaming companies in 2019: Sony ranked first, Tencent and Nintendo came in second and third, respectively.

In 2019, Sony PlayStation topped the gaming company revenue list with $18.19 billion in revenue.

Tencent came in second with $16.224 billion in revenue; Nintendo came in third with $12.01 billion.

Microsoft Xbox was fourth with $10.26 billion in revenue and NetEase was fifth with $6.668 billion.

Among them, Tencent in the rankings only calculates the revenue of Tencent's gaming business, and Tencent's overall revenue for 2019 was 37.289 billion yuan, of which the gaming business accounted for about 30.6% of the revenue.
