In April, Tencent PUBG Mobile's global revenue exceeded US$225 million, up 241% from the same month last year, and ranked as the top-selling mobile game in the world, according to Sensor Tower data.
Revenue from the Chinese market accounted for 58.8%, the US market for 9.6% and Saudi Arabia for 4.9%.
Pride of Kings and its overseas edition came in at number two on the list with $156 million. The Chinese version contributed 94.4% of the revenue, followed by the Thai version, Garena Realm of Valor, which contributed 2.3%.
The other three games in the top five on the list are Roblox, Mixi's Monster Marbles, and Moon Active's Coin Master.
The global impact of the new coronavirus epidemic continues, and most countries/regions are still under embargo, the top 10 best-selling handheld games are also basically the same as in March, only some games are slightly adjusted in order.
Roblox has seen the biggest rise in rankings, jumping to #3 on the list with $96 million in revenue, up 37.4% year-over-year.
Epic Games' "Night of the Bastion" sucked in $44 million in gold on iOS in April and made the top 10 of the App Store's best-selling handheld games, with an 89% year-over-year increase, the highest revenue month since May 2019.
A variety of factors contributed to the significant pullback in revenue for Night at the Fortress, including the impact of the new crown epidemic and the astronomical concert linked to Travis Scott.
