In response to "Zhengzhou Foxconn's low wages for not working overtime, triggering a wave of worker departures," Foxconn responded to The Paper: "False information, please do not spread falsehoods. The park's current workforce is up more than 20 percent from a year ago."
According to Chinese media reports, there are recently waves of employee departures from the Foxconn factory in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, which is Apple's largest assembly line.โ
According to report, a shopkeeper in the factory area said that there were indeed far fewer people in the factory and business was dismal. Employees are leaving a lot more because not working overtime causes a reduction in pay.
Security guards in the factory area said that orders and raw materials were not available due to the epidemic and could not be worked overtime resulting in too low wages, only 2,000-3,000 yuan a month, and the dispatched employees have basically all resigned.
