Since Apple released iPadOS 13 at WWDC 2019 last year, Apple has added the ability to open two or more windows natively for a single app, i.e. multiple windows for the same app, but only a few apps have adapted it until now.
Recently Microsoft announced that in the recently updated beta version of iPadOS Office software, that is, Word beta, PowerPoint beta will support multi-window this feature.
Where PowerPoint can display 3 windows simultaneously. When two documents are opened at the same time, they can be easily compared and modified.
In a blog post, Microsoft describes three ways to access this functionality.
1. Touch and hold the file from the "Recent", "Shared" and "Open" file list of the app to open it side by side by dragging it to the edge of the "iPad" screen.
2, In Word or PowerPoint, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and open the docking station. Then touch and hold the icon of the same App, then drag it from the docking station to the left or right side of the screen, and click on the document to open it.
3. In Word or PowerPoint, access "Recent", "Share" and "Open" views in the App Start screen, click on the list of files in the "..." menu, then click to open in a new window.
However, the software is now not ideal for the adaptation of the Mykontrol keyboard.
Currently, Microsoft has not announced when the iPad multi-window feature will be available for all users, so hopefully it will come sooner rather than later.
