LibreOffice 6.3.6 released for Linux, Windows and macOS

The Documentation Foundation today released the latest version of the LibreOffice productivity suite to all supported platforms, and Linux, Windows, and macOS users can now download and install LibreOffice 6.3.6 through official channels.

As a minor release focused on bug fixes and underlying improvements, it doesn't introduce any new features but instead works to improve the user experience in the LibreOffice 6.3 development branch, such as document compatibility.

As an official release, users can install and use LibreOffice 6.3.6 on production devices with confidence.

The Documentation Foundation explains that as the last minor version of the LibreOffice 6.3 family, everyone will soon move to LibreOffice 6.4.

As for the subsequent big 7.0 release, it is expected to be released this summer. Reports say it will be ditching Adobe Flash Player altogether, so the Document Foundation will have to find an alternative to what is currently being used for drawing and presentation in LibreOffice.

For individuals or organizations looking to eliminate licensing costs and not lose compatibility with common document formats, LibreOffice or one of the most efficient Microsoft Office alternatives available.
