Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 10 Youth Edition phone and MIUI 12 through an online event today.
Xiaomi founder Lei Jun announced at the event that MIUI currently has 310 million monthly active users.

The MIUI 12 system is visually designed with a lot of animation updates, optimized system dynamics, and more settings for privacy.
Specifically, MIUI 12 is able to better fit the rounded corners of the phone's screen, the new physics engine, and the animation of desktop icons, all of which Xiaomi says add up to an "elegant, fluid, and interruptible" physical space movement.
In addition, MIUI 12 brings a more refined kinetic effect. For example, when the user exits the reading app from the right, the icon will have a rightward flip effect; when the app is deleted, there is also a crushing water fluctuation effect. It can be said that this time Xiaomi has done a more detailed animation on the MIUI system.
The weather app has also been redesigned on MIUI 12, using dynamic clouds and rain to showcase the current weather. Visual design is simply the presentation of information and data in intuitive graphics.
Privacy-wise, in MIUI 12, everything the app does is recorded, including the use of the camera, microphone, and positioning.
When the system queries the application behavior, MIUI 12 will disable all high-risk behavior. In addition, the new system adds an "allow in use only" permission option, which allows the application to use permissions such as location only on the fly.
At the same time, to protect user privacy, MIUI 12 provides a virtual ID in the system, so that the application intelligence obtains a virtual ID, rather than the user's real identity.
