China's daily courier volume now exceeds 200 million pieces, basically returning to the normal level before the novel coronavirus epidemic, Bian Zuodong, deputy director of the market supervision department of China's National Post Office, said Saturday.
Bian Zuodong said that 96.6 percent of the country's townships have now set up courier service outlets. Even if affected by the epidemic, in the first quarter of this year in rural areas, the volume of express mail is still more than 3 billion pieces, supporting industrial products to the countryside and agricultural products into the city more than 200 billion yuan.
In response to the problems of high costs and inadequate services for rural courier services, the National Post Office has recently launched the "courier into the village" project, striving to spend three years to promote the basic realization of the village courier in eligible formed villages.
Intelligent express boxes and other unmanned distribution models have become one of the development trends of postal express end services.
According to Bian Zuodong, there are 406,000 sets of smart express boxes that have been built nationwide in recent years, but there are still many old residential neighborhoods that do not have smart express boxes.
In response to these issues, the National Post Office plans to issue recent guidance to support the construction of smart express mail boxes.
At the same time, without the user's consent to the express mail into the smart express box and other irregularities, users can make complaints or reports, the postal administration will be investigated and dealt with in accordance with the law.
