Nio today announced that in order to enable more users to enjoy the benefits of the policy in China, those who pay a deposit from now until April 26 will still be eligible for the 2019 state subsidy.
Nio promises that users of cars before May 31, 2020, will be subsidized according to the 2019 state subsidy rate, with Nio paying the difference.
On April 23, China issued new rules to change the new energy vehicle subsidy policy, and for the first time set a price threshold, requiring new energy passenger car subsidies before the selling price must be less than 300,000 yuan (including 300,000 yuan).
In order to encourage the development of a new business model of "battery replacement", vehicles using this model are not subject to this regulation.
This means that electric vehicles sold by companies such as Tesla and Li Auto, which cost more than 300,000 yuan, will not be able to enjoy subsidies.
From the current point of view, Tesla can only enjoy the subsidy for the upgraded version of the domestic model 3 standard battery life, and its price is 290,905 yuan.
Not long ago, Tesla released the long-life version of the domestic Model, and the high-performance version of the dual-motor drive cannot enjoy subsidies-of which the long-life version costs 339,500 yuan, and the high-performance version costs 419,800 yuan.
However, Nio will continue to enjoy related subsidies because of the battery replacement mode.
Nio noted today that its full range of models is priced above 300,000 yuan, however, its cars support "battery replacement mode."
