After the reverse engineering of the developer, Linux-based postmarketOS has been ported to an iPhone7 and successfully booted on the device. This is also the first Apple device to run postmarketOS.

Prior to this, no one thought that Apple's iOS proprietary devices would have the opportunity to become Linux smartphones, and it took more than half a year for a group of developers to make Linux run on Apple's A10 proprietary SoC.

postmarketOS is an operating system specifically designed for old smartphones, it is based on the Alpine Linux distribution and is optimized for touch devices.

Each phone contains a unique software package, and the others are shared among all devices.

The official page writes that this is a Linux distribution for mobile phones. It is still in the Alpha stage and cannot use the call function.
