Chinse technology company Hisense will release the world's first color e-ink mobile phone at the 2020 China Digital Reading Cloud Conference on April 23, Hisense Mobile announced on Weibo on April 10.
In January, Hisense revealed it was making this color e-ink phone and its positioning is a smartphone for reading.
Hisense color e-ink mobile phone uses printed color electronic paper technology, which can achieve the same performance as black and white electronic paper for a long time without reading the eyes.
It can display 4096 colors which are softer, continuing the characteristics of ultra-low power consumption of electronic ink screen.
The phone has a built-in Android operating system, and cooperates with Jingdong reading, iReader, QQ reading, Migu reading, People reading and other major content platforms to create a mobile reading handheld library.
At the end of October 2019, Hisense launched the A5 reading mobile phone, which uses a 5.84-inch eye protection e-ink screen, which is black and white. The price for A5 is 1,199 yuan on JD.com.
