How to easily disable dark mode on WeChat

At the end of March, WeChat for iOS got an update that finally brought dark mode for iPhone users.

However, some users are not very satisfied with the update or find the text is very difficult to read after switching to dark mode.

Unfortunately, the WeChat team did not add a switch to go back to light mode for it. Instead dark mode will be automatically turned on after the iPhone turned on the dark mode.

How to automatically switch to light mode when opening WeChat or other applications? Here is a convenient method:

Step 1: Open the iPhone's "Shortcuts" app, click the "Automation" tab, and click "Create Personal Automation" (you need to upgrade to iOS 13.1 or later).

After setting, when you open WeChat, iPhone will automatically set to light mode.

Of course, you can also manually set the iPhone to Light Mode:

Open the phone "Settings"

Find and open "Display and Brightness"

Choose Light
