The Chang'e 4 lander and "Yutu-2" lunar rover successfully completed the scientific exploration work in for the 16th lunar day, and completed the moon night setting at 17:30 and 8:25 on March 31, respectively.
The Lunar Exploration and Space Program Center of the China National Space Administration announced the information on Wednesday, adding tht during this period, the lander was in normal working condition, energy balance, payload neutron and radiation dose detector, low frequency radio frequency spectrum analyzer started up as planned, and the ground receiving scientific detection data was normal.
China's lunar exploration project team stated that during the day of the tenth day of June, the scientific payload carried by the "Yutu-2" lunar ruck was turned on normally, and continued to carry out infrared imaging of the moon surface, measurement of neutral atoms, and patrol routes of the lunar subsurface, lunar soil and lunar crust Scientific tasks such as shallow structure exploration.
"Yutu-2" lunar rover continues to move in the northwest direction of the lander according to the planned path of exploration. At present, the cumulative mileage traveled is 424.455 meters. Researchers will conduct scientific analysis of the detection data this night, and follow-up scientific results will be released in time.
