As of last week, iOS/iPadOS 13.4, which was first introduced in early February this year, has released its fifth beta.
The new system not only implements some previously promised but actually implemented functions, such as "iCloud folder sharing", but also brings some new features, such as keyboard shortcuts, new Memoji emoticons, and mobile phone/watch avatar car keys CarKey API and more.
According to recent news, the official version of iOS 13.4 may be released on March 18, and it will also bring many new exclusive features in China, including Apple Pay and support for more transportation cards.
The first report that Apple Pay will have built-in Alipay was in the iOS 14 code exposed by 9to5Mac.
At that time, they found the corresponding code from the earlier leaked version of iOS 14 that had not been released, suggesting that Alipay would add support to Apple Pay to achieve the same transaction experience as other bank cards added to Apple Pay.
However, the latest promotional materials indicate that this feature may come with the official version of iOS 13.4, and the date is March 18.
Judging from the leaked interface, Apple Pay will use the same wake-up procedure as Apple Pay bank cards, and it will need to be authenticated before payment.
But the difference is that Apple Pay Alipay retains the QR code payment style instead of the NFC near field payment of Apple Pay bank cards.
In addition, Apple Pay Alipay will also be embedded in the system camera. When a payment code is detected, the payment page will pop up without the need to jump to the Alipay application.
In addition to Apple Pay Alipay, the official version of iOS 13.4 may also bring more transportation cards, including Octopus, Lingnantong · Yangchengtong, Lingnantong · Guangfotong, Shenzhentong, and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Interconnection Cards.
These transportation cards have previously been “officially announced” that they will land on Apple Pay. The earliest Octopus was announced even last year but has not been launched.
With the release of iOS 13.4, some people have discovered that these transportation cards have begun to perform grayscale testing on the system.
It is worth mentioning that from the announcements given by Lingnantong, Shenzhentong, and Beijing Municipal Transportation Card, Lingnantong ▪ Yangchengtong, Lingnantong ▪ Guangfotong, and Shenzhentong that will soon be added to the Apple Pay transportation card "And" Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Interconnection Card "should be the national transportation card version, that is to say, other provinces and cities with the" Transportation Union "bus lines also apply.
