Microsoft recently added support for new features in Windows 10 Preview, making it easier for users to copy and paste between a computer and an Android device.
This feature is part of Windows 10 internal version 19582, which is the latest version of Windows Insider beta, and is a preview version of Windows 10 2004 that will be released in the spring.
The entire process is driven by the Windows 10 app Your Phone, which allows users to pair selected Android phones with Windows 10 for functions such as accessing photos, calls, notifications, messages and even phone screen mirroring.
Currently this feature only supports Samsung Galaxy S20/S20 +/S20 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip.
The star feature is definitely support for copy and paste between devices.
In other words, you can copy something on one device (such as a desktop) and then paste it onto another device (such as an Android phone).
These are all powered by the same "Your Phone" app and will be available as long as the device is paired through the app.
Use typical copy and paste commands, such as CTRL + C and CTRL + V on desktop computers, and long press gestures on mobile devices.
Therefore, as long as the user installs and runs the companion application on both Windows 10 and Android, copying and pasting from one end to the other is very simple.
This feature is only available in certain markets, such as the United States, so it cannot be used around the world.
Finally, the desktop must be running Windows 10 April 2018 Update (version 1803) or higher to get this feature.
Microsoft has not revealed whether it plans to introduce these features into other smartphone models, but for now, this feature is built entirely around Samsung Android smartphones.
