In September 2019, Xiaomi released the MIX Alpha 5G surround screen concept phone, priced at 19,999 yuan, but as of now it has not started to sell. It is reported that Xiaomi will use the Snapdragon 865 processor to upgrade this phone.
This morning, the digital blogger "@数码闲聊站" stated that Xiaomi MIX Alpha was codenamed Draco and the model U2E had been on the network but had not been made public. Now it has also started the Snapdragon 865 upgrade project.
Draco literally means the constellation that can be seen all year round in the northern sky, located north of the North Corona.
The previously released Xiaomi MIX Alpha 5G is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, equipped with 12GB memory and 512GB body storage, built-in 4050mAh battery, and supports 40W wired flash charge.
It is unclear whether Xiaomi will make more improvements to MIX Alpha.
Xiaomi MIX Alpha 5G adopts a surround screen design, eliminating the handset, front camera, and side buttons of the phone. Only 2.15 mm of space is reserved on the chin and forehead. The entire screen is applied with surround layered lamination and screw-in assembly technology.
