Apple's iPhone to be launched in the second half of 2020 will use an ultra-wide-angle lens that maintains the same design as the iPhone 11, Tianfeng Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said in his latest research report released on Sunday.
Genius Electronic Optical will exclusively supply the high unit price ultra-wide-angle lens for the iPhone 11 series in the second half of 2019. Ming-Chi Kuo said that in order to improve capacity utilization, it is expected to change the current situation of exclusive supply.
The report said that because the iPhone assembly plant's resumption of work will not significantly improve until the second quarter of 2020, Genius lens shipments in February and March fell significantly.
Ming-Chi Kuo has previously stated that if the epidemic situation can significantly improve in March, it is expected that the new iPhone series shipments in the second half of 2020 will be about 80 million units this year.
