Apple releases iOS & iPadOS 13.4 Developer Preview Beta 2

Apple today released the Beta 2 update for the iOS and iPadOS 13.4 developer preview. It has been two weeks since the first preview update. This iOS update fixes some bugs and brings some new features.

Known issues

After users view specific app settings and then return to the main Settings page, the Settings app may exit unexpectedly.

To install iOS 13.4 beta 2 using the restore image, first install Xcode 11.4 beta 2.

CarPlay

Resolved issues

Fixed an issue where the Siri interface might not display as expected.

Keyboard

new function

QuickType keyboard now supports predictive input in Arabic.

QuickType keyboard now supports real-time conversion of Japanese and Chinese.

The QuickType keyboard now supports the Swiss German layout of the 12.9-inch iPad layout.

Resolved issues

The multiple languages of the 12.9 "iPad layout now exactly match the hardware keyboard layout.

Positioning service

new function

When an app first asks for constant authorization for the first time since it was previously authorized during the "use of app" period, the device immediately displays a location authorization prompt.

Photo

new function

New keyboard shortcuts are available in Photos on iPadOS, allowing you to quickly navigate between tabs, search, and create albums. In full screen mode, you can also use the keyboard to delete, copy, and enter edit mode.

Known issues

Photos may not sync to Apple Watch as expected.

The code generation load method loads the Reality file.

Swift UI

When using a navigation view with multiple columns, the navigation bar now displays a control for switching columns.

The "and" modifier is now available on iOS.
