According to a new patent application issued by Apple, it may launch an Apple Watch with Touch ID in the future.
The patent shows that Apple is trying to integrate the Touch ID sensor in the digital crown of the Apple Watch.
Currently, users have two ways to unlock the Apple Watch. The first is to enter the PIN password on the Apple Watch screen.
Users can open the Settings app on the Apple Watch to set the password. In addition, users can also unlock the Apple Watch with an iPhone, but the iPhone must be within the normal Bluetooth connection range of the Apple Watch (10 meters or about 33 feet) to unlock.
Given that there are only two ways to unlock, if the Apple Watch integrates the Touch ID sensor, its unlocking process will become more convenient.
It is worth noting that many consumers want to buy an Apple Watch smart watch with Touch ID function for a long time. If this patent can come true, it will bring a lot of surprises to the Apple Watch.
