Google announced on Monday that its Games Developer Summit is coming to the Game Developer Conference (GDC) 2020 and will be held in San Francisco from March 16-20. Google is kicking off things with its keynote on March 16 at 9.30 AM Pacific.
At last year's GDC 2019, Google announced the game streaming platform Stadia during the keynote. The service went live in November 2019 and has steadily added new games and features over time.
Earlier this month, the company developed a roadmap for 2020, which is expected to bring over 120 games during the year and have at least 10 exclusive titles in the first half of the year.
Through the upcoming conference, Google is expected to introduce more games and discuss plans for expanding service capabilities. More details can be shared in the next few weeks, and those interested can register in advance and receive updates in time.
By incorporating Typhoon Studios into Stadia's gaming and entertainment division, Google has more confidence to compete with Microsoft Project XCloud and Apple Arcade.
Google said that product owners from various departments of the company will share major announcements during the game developer conference and hold more meetings in the next two days. Additionally, at the company's booth, attendees were able to watch product demonstrations and talk one-on-one with experts.
