Xiaomi recently demonstrated the Xiaomi MIX Alpha concept phone for the first time in India, but the device may not be launched in the Indian market, according to a report from Newsx.
Officials from Xiaomi India said that Xiaomi will launch more top-end products in India in 2020, and 2020 will be a year when the Xiaomi brand has entered the Indian market.
Xiaomi India's employees Raghu Reddy and Sumit Sonal confirmed that Xiaomi MIX Alpha surround screen phone may not be sold in the Indian market. This is because the phone needs to be imported from China, and the price will be very expensive, exceeding INR 200,000 ($ 2820), the report said.
The Xiaomi MIX Alpha 5G concept phone uses a surround screen design, eliminating the handset, front camera, and side buttons. Only 2.15 mm of space is reserved on the chin and forehead, and the screen ratio is as high as 180.6%.
The side of this phone can display the battery level, system related information, and notification information. Regarding the release date of this phone, it is yet to be officially announced.
