At first it was called the Galaxy Fold 2. Later it became Galaxy Bloom. Now it seems both names are incorrect, as Twitter user Ice universe (@UniverseIce) claimed Samsung's next foldable phone is called Galaxy Z Flip.
If this turns out to be true, then a whole new series of phones is going to be announced on February 11 in the form of Galaxy Z.
From this name alone, we cannot tell if this series is exclusively for Foldable phones only. The name clearly says that it is a "Flip" phone so there is a vertically foldable screen like the Motorola Razr.
Previous reports said that Samsung showed the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 at the CES 2020 closed-door meeting, and the device was named Galaxy Bloom. Most recently, LetsGoDitigal said this is a misunderstanding.
The report said that Bloom is the code name of the device, and the actual name has not been disclosed. However, it will remain in the Fold series with letters at the end, such as Samsung Galaxy Fold F or W but most probably the Galaxy Fold 2.
Base of current reports, the Galaxy Fold 2 will use last year's Snapdragon 855 processor.
The front camera of the Galaxy Fold 2 will be 10MP, which is likely to be the same image sensor in the current Galaxy Note10 series.
The back of the clamshell foldable device will have a dual camera setup.
There is a small notification display on the back of the device that will provide users with the information they need when the device is folded. After opening the device, it will provide a 10MP perforated front camera for your selfie needs.
