Earlier reports said that Samsung showed the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 at the CES 2020 closed-door meeting, and the device was named Galaxy Bloom. Now, LetsGoDitigal says this is a misunderstanding.
The report said that Bloom is the code name of the device, and the actual name has not been disclosed. However, it will remain in the Fold series with letters at the end, such as Samsung Galaxy Fold F or W but most probably the Galaxy Fold 2.
However, the report also said the Fold 2's focus on female consumers, and its design is obviously inspired by Lancombe makeup styling.
Earlier reports said that the Galaxy Fold 2 will use last year's Snapdragon 855 processor.
The front camera of the Galaxy Fold 2 will be 10MP, which is likely to be the same image sensor in the current Galaxy Note10 series.
The back of the clamshell foldable device will have a dual camera setup.
There is a small notification display on the back of the device that will provide users with the information they need when the device is folded. After opening the device, it will provide a 10MP perforated front camera for your selfie needs.
The device will have a USB-C port for charging and will not have a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Fold 2 will abandon the old plastic cover material and use ultra-thin glass cover. This will make the screen look flatter. Another benefit of using a glass cover is that it will reduce the occurrence of wrinkles.
According to the announcement and leaked information of the next Samsung Unpacked event, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Fold 2 and Galaxy S20 series smartphones in San Francisco on February 11. Moreover, the price of Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will be comparable to Apple iPhone 11 Pro.
